Main Part
Name:
Euphemia Rendard
Also, at times, referred to simply as 'Mia'
Age:
By all appearances, she would seem no more than 17, or 18 at the outside. In actuality she is roughly 150 years, give or take a day or so.
Gender:
Female
Sexuality:
Straight
Race:
Vampire
History:
Past:
Family History:
The Renard Family arrived in a town some 100 miles from here more than 150 years before; Jamal and Anya bringing with them their two young children, escaping from an epidemic in a faraway town that had virtually eradicated the population. Unfortunately, none of the family escaped the effects of the epidemic, and soon each of them fell ill.
The illness killed Anya and Jamal, but Lucian and Euphemia were spared the same fate, though it was death that claimed them...An eternity of death.
Character History:
Euphemia took ill at the tender age of 16, not long after an epidemic swept a small rural community to the far north of the towen. Despite their best efforts not to contract the contagon, each member of the Renard family fell under the sway of a scalding fever. The details of what happened will forever be fuzzy in Euphemia's mind, but what seemed to her like a guardian angel appeared out of the darkness and whisked her away into death that wasn't death at all, though she has never understood what prompted the vampire to keep rather than abandon her to death.
In the short time she was nursed back to health, she built a tenuous relationship with her 'rescuer', though it was far from strong or really friendly. She spoke when spoken to, answered what questions there were to answer but mostly simply hung around for the occasional nip of blood and as a silent companion. Once she was healthy, she was changed forevermore.. It was in then that she journeyed to Sanford to make her home, and it is there that she has remained since..
Current
Euphemia occasionally works at Stark General during the night shift, and at other times takes on some work at the Hotel. Depends on her financial needs, and work availability.
Family members:
Jamal Renard -Father (deceased)
Anya Renard- Mother (deceased)
Lucian Renard- Brother (unknown)
-basically means I'm probably gonna play him later
Appearance
Body Build:
She stands at a fairly decent height; not too tall and not too short. Her body type isn't exactly skinny, but not overly curvy either. Rather, she is somewhere in between average and full-figured.. Subtle curves help to accentuate the toned, flat muscles of her belly, arms, thighs, and such proving that despite being "dead" Euphemia still takes her health seriously.
Eye Color:
Her eyes are a hazel hue, ringing mostly by greens and gold-brown.
Heigth:
5'6
Hair:
Her hair is long and full; the color of a raven's wing. Most usually straight and thick, it is easilly tamed into a tail or teased into a riot of curls. Her skin is subtly tanned despite the fact that she doesn't spend too much time in the daylight hours. Her eyes are a hazel hue, ringing mostly by greens and gold-brown.
Clothings:
She dresses in a fairly casual style. Faded jeans in blues, grays, and blacks, matching black boots and sometimes sneakers. She has a fondness for intricate, studded belts, and laced tanktops in light, springy colors, or t-shirts in natural hues like greens and yellows, browns, and the like.
Personality
Likes:
Poetry, music, flowers, moonlit walks, the sound of the waves, old/sappy love stories, romance, grand gestures, etc.
Hates/dislikes:
Daytime, hunger, being the cause of someone else's pain, old horror flicks about vampires.
Strength:
She has an uncanny empathic sense, and seems to know what bothers people and what to say to make it better, or at least be comforting. She's also very agile and quick on her feet, and she is able to use her voice to put her food into a catatonic state.
Weakness:
Discomfort in a situation can cause her to appear snobbish and rude. Also, bright light and sound tends to be disorienting to her, forcing her to slow down and adjust; her voice ability doesn't work on everyone, and unfortunately she isn't a world-class fighter so if she can't be-spell someone she's probably got no chance at beating them in a fair fight.
Character:
Soft-hearted and gentle, Euphemia has never in her life been able to harm another living creature. Well, not intentionally. Originally, she can be very shy when first meeting someone which can sometimes translate into seeming snobbishness, though it's never meant that way. She takes things very seriously, and holds both grudges and loves very close to herself for a very, very long time. She won't outright lie,but she might skirt around the truth if she believes the truth to be unecessary or painful for someone else to bear.
She is, by nature, a very romantic person and very susceptible to sweet gestures, words, and gifts. Anything and everything that might be termed romantic is guaranteed to make Euphemia smile and sigh. When her temper is roused, though, she can be very snotty and rude, particularly if the person to whom she is speaking is someone she already dislikes. She does usually try to curb her temper when dealing with someone for whom she has respect or affection, though. It just doesn't always work.
Other:
Extra Details:
Euphemia is, as I've said, very gentle and though she finds it necessary to feed from the living, she tries to do so in as painless a way as possible, usually lulling her "food" into a state of semi-consciousness before feeding.
RP-Style:
Direct speech:
Quotes; such as "example"
Thoughts:
Italics. Such Oh,crap..
RP-Sample:
"Why do you dislike it?"She asked curiously. She couldn't fathom why anyone wouldn't love the way of life that the Vampires had developed. Even taking blood wasn't so bad, since no one really got hurt. Her expression shifted slightly as he questioned her about family, the slighest hint of regret etching its way onto her features.
"It's just me..as far as I know. My mother and father died shortly before I was turned. I'm not sure about my brother..I was delirious with a fever by then, and I don't really remember any of the details." she said softly, frowning a bit as she thought about it. Had Lucian died? Or had he been turned? She didn't know..he'd been gone when she woke.
It wasn't anything she talked about overmuch; partly because the details were so few and far between but mostly because it was still a less-than-pleasant memory. She preferred to dwell on the now.
