Euphemia yawned as she lounged behind the front desk of the hotel, resting her fabric-covered arms on the gleaming surface of the wood desk. The pearl-white and very sharp tips of her fangs just barely showed for an instant between the scarlet-red of her lips as her breath escaped, before her lips again sealed closed and her hazel eyes blinked once, then twice. Her shift had only started about half an hour ago, moments after the sun had gone down, but unfortunately there wasn't much for her to do at the moment.
Clear-painted nails tapped idly against the desk as she glanced toward the entryway into the hotel, hoping for some random human to show just to alleviate the boredom. There were supposed to be a few check-ins arriving sometime over the night but the times indicated it would be other vampires. That was fine by her- so long as it gave her something to do. Hotel Stark was old; everything in it was old but very well taken care of. Vampires, if nothing else, seemed to preserve things well.
She wasn't very fond of the uniform she was asked to wear when she worked the occasional shift at Hotel Stark, but neither was she fool enough to complain. Anyway, it was only for the night and she'd brought clothes to change into before she left. No way would she go out in public wearing the uniform. It was just a matter of pride and self-expression. Euphemia didn't mind working the extra hours, picking up shifts when the added help was necessary, but she didn't like to broadcast it either. She lived like a human, even after more than a hundred years of living. But she was saving up for all those nice things she'd want later on.
Ceasing the endless tapping of her nails, she drew her hand through the long, straight fall of her raven-black hair and glanced once again toward the entryway, hoping for the little jangle that would signify someone's arrival.

He walked down the street. He knew that there was no reason to hurry. Not a single hunter following him. One hour ago, he had killed his hunters. They were just wimps, weaklings. And their blood was full of alcohol. Anka had tried to take those without Alcohol in their veins, but every single one of them had drunken very much. So he simply killed them. They were not a problem. It was really easy to end their lives...
But he was in dire need of blood. For more than a week he had to wait for a chance to get blood. And now? It was more alcohol than blood! Ankatale sighed. He knew that he had to kill soon. Oh, how everything inside him refused to kill an innocent human!
Then he stopped. A hotel! The young man closed his coat. It was cold. His breath was visible as little white clouds. And he knew that he needed a warm room. 'I need money...' The hunters he had killed before were out of money. What a pity... Anka sighed. Then he entered the hotel. Hello. I'd like to have a room for free. His voice was cold. Colder than outside...

A dim light over top, hanging as though it had no point but to stay on all day, and even if it stopped, it would've been replaced anyway. The light was only light enough to go over top one human at a time, if a human at all in that point. It hung over a well fabriqued chair, it's style unique in it's own way, the fabrique a beautiful red, followed by the legs and such being a golden color. On the chair, on the other hand, maybe the small part look so depressing. The girl's eyes a bright blue, but was cancled out buy her dark eyeliner and mascara. Her blush was yes brighter, but it didn't make a difference. Her black coat was only buttoned by one button, revealing her under clothing.
Carmen cocked her head upward, her face being covered by the old paper in her hand, her eyes peaking over top every so often. But, what caught her attention, was a man that had entered. The sent that came off him smelled so different from a regular humans blood, unless this human had just recently been on a killing spree, this man had the sent of blood on him. Human blood as well. And there wasn't many humans that had that smell to them. If he were just any other human, she would've either lost interest in him, or, she would've made him prey. Something about him was different from the rest, but she decided to investigate later on, hiding her face once again behind the late dated paper, that said ' May 12, 1970 ' on it, as well as, ' Young boy gets hit in tradgic Car Accident. ' She had no interest in the old paper, it's actual paper was a yellowish color, making it seem older then it actually was. The games and such inside were much older, and were small word searches, that she had, once again, no interest in.
The girl at the counter had also caught her attention, for, she too had a different scent to her. Alot of people lately did. If it either were humans were beginning to insane and decided to drink each other's blood, or these folks were vampires. Her eyes went from the paper once again, looking at the girl at the counter. She wouldn't be surprised if she were caught, for she was right across from the counter, and she was probably easily seen from where she sat.
She had been there for quite sometime, and she had only seen a few people enter or exit the building, all scenting like humans, like they should. They could've been her prey, they were right there, she could've tricked them into the alley way and make them suffer a long painful death, or a quick bloodless death. Either way was fine for her, since either way she was feading off them.
Carmen crossed her leg, adjusting the paper, and pretending to be interested in an article that had the title of, ' Tino's Casino now open! ' The article was the most boring thing she had ever read in her entire life, since her life span had been quite long, that was surprising. All it talked about was some fat human who had recently openend a place for other fat humans to go and gamble at, then, afterward, they'd go home, their wifes would find out, then they'd be in the paper the next week pronounced dead. That's how Carmen thought of Casinos. They were a waste of money, they always had been.

Euphemia knew that she had caught the attention of the one other patron in the hotel lobby, though she pretended not to know. She wasn't really interested in the other vampire unless she intended to ask a question, rent a room, or cause some kind of scene. Though anything would have been better than silence at this point..
The sound of the door wooshing open and the scent of blood and man that washed in from the breeze signaled the arrival of the stranger. A light smile curved her lips as she immediately slipped into the professional, cheerful persona she reluctantly adapted for this job. Which she only took out of necessity. When the man spoke, she couldn't help but to laugh as she shook her head, "Sorry sir. Paying customers only."
(sorry for the wait xD))

(Nah, that's alright)
Ankatale walked toward the counter. The young man looked directly into the eyes of the woman behind the counter. He just came closer. Slowly, but he was coming. As if an anger was about to break out. The silence before the storm. And that storm would begin in a few seconds... Ankatale knew that he only had got one try. One try to make her giving him a room. The black, long coat was open. It showed his upper body. No wound, just blood. You want me to pay? Hey! My payment is your life. Be happy about that and give me the room. While he was speaking, his vampire teeth were visible. I don't know mercy - even though if you both are blood drunkardesses.
Oh, his big weakness - He was never able to feel other vampires. Never... The young man reached the counter. I am waiting, hot stuff. Room or death, your decision. His voice was soft. As if he was trying to make someone calm down. But he wasn't trying to comfort a little crying child... But in his voice, there was also an anger. But he was not yelling.
